Techniques & Equipment

Dr. Stein applies several cutting-edge technologies and adjusting techniques to make the correct diagnosis and determine the treatment that is best for you.

X-Ray

During your first patient visit, Dr. Stein will talk with you about any pain or discomfort you are experiencing. Next, he will take X-rays and complete a thorough examination. The x-ray is absolutely critical to accurately diagnose your condition and provide the most efficient and accurate treatment.

In addition to diagnosing spinal misalignment or other spine-related problems, X-ray also reveals problems associated with the extremities. For example, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other wrist problems are diagnosed via X-ray. Dr. Stein addresses these extremity problems accordingly.

Electronic Muscle Stimulation

  • Electronic waveforms gently stimulate the soft tissue
  • Relaxes muscle spasms,
  • Increases local blood circulation,
  • Re-educates muscles that have atrophied from disuse or injury, and
  • Maintains or improves joint range of motion.

Ultrasound

  • Painless, topically-applied therapy relieves pain and injuries in soft tissue.
  • Relieves pain
  • Relaxes muscle spasms
  • Reduces joint contractures

Spinal Decompression/Flexion Distraction

  • Maximum results for patients experiencing the following:
    • disk problems,
    • facet joint problems,
    • sciatica and “pinched nerve” pain, and
    • pressure and soreness.
  • Enables the nucleus of the disk to correctly reset between the vertebrae.
  • Incorporates gentle techniques that provide you with maximum results.

Laser Therapy and LED Light Therapy

  • Provides nerve pain relief.
  • Heals soft tissue.
  • Shortens healing time.

Leg Length X-Ray

  • Diagnoses to the exact millimeter any difference in length between your right and left legs. You can then be fitted with a lift for the shorter leg in order to make your pelvis level.
  • This reduces pressure to your lower back which decreases pain and scoliosis and returns your spine to its correct biomechanical shape.
  • People with chronic low back pain have excellent short- and long-term results.
